Millie's Math House
Millie’s Math House will teach students fundamental math concepts and build a foundation of math for those students. Students will become enthralled with the exciting activities, while meeting colorful characters. Students will explore different sizes, names of shapes, matching shapes, creating complete patterns, numerals 0 to 30, recognizing number sentences, addition, and subtraction. Millie’s Math House is intended for grades preK-2.
It is important to understand that Millie’s Math House comes in different flavors. There is the School Edition, the Lab Pack, the Site License, and the Network License. The School Edition comes with 2 licenses that can be installed on 2 computers. The Lab Pack comes with 6 licenses that can be installed onto 6 computers. The Site License comes with 25 licenses that can be installed on 25 different computers. The Network License (with the option of RNV) comes with 50 concurrent licenses that can be installed on as many computers as you want, but is limited to one location and requires the use of a server. For example, you have a lab of 100 computers; you can load the software on all 100 computers and access the software, just as long as there aren’t more than 50 users on at any given moment. If you need more than 50 users on simultaneously, you can buy two network licenses and have 100 concurrent users on simultaneously. All of the versions have the option to come with LMS except the RNV network version.
Millie’s Math House is available with LMS which stands for learning management system. This feature offers administration tools to target each student’s strengths and weaknesses, including real-time progress reports. This feature also comes with easy to administer assessments to help gauge student proficiency and inform the teacher.
RNV stands for Riverdeep Network Version, which is introduced below.
Welcome to the Riverdeep Software Manager, an integral part of Riverdeep Network Versions. The Riverdeep Software Manager is an easy-to-use management system that includes administrative tools to help import and manage student lists and class rosters; launch software from every machine on your network; and assign software activities to classes, workgroups and individual students. It provides both you and your students with direct access to their assigned activities from the safety of your network and preserves student progress. The Riverdeep Software Manager makes it easy to customize each student’s study plan by assigning activities that accommodate individual learning styles and needs. The Riverdeep Software Manager is comprised of three parts: an Administration Center, a Teacher Center, and a Student Center. The Administration Center should be installed on computers that will be used by technology coordinators, computer lab administrators, or technically-inclined teachers. This is where major updates are done including creating school and class rosters, adding or deleting students or teachers, and installing or deleting the software programs that will run on the Riverdeep Software Manager. The Teacher Center is designed for day-to-day use to manage classes and computer assignments. It should be installed on computers that will primarily be used by teachers. The Student Center is where students log on to access their software activities and any related instructions from their teachers. It should be installed on all computers that will be used by students.
